TORONTO - The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) is proud to announce the following nominees for its 2025-26 Male Athlete of the Year.
Logan Buntrock
Men's Baseball, Lambton Lions
Logan Buntrock (Sarnia) was named OCAA Player of the Year following the men's baseball regular season. The third-year outfielder was among the leaders in several offensive categories this past season, leading the OCAA in hits (27), runs (22) and stolen bases (17). Buntrock's .443 batting average and .528 on-base percentage were also in the Top 5.
Logan's speed was a huge asset for the Lambton Lions both on the base paths and when patrolling centre-field. Logan also headlined the OCAA League First-Team All-Stars as the Lions earned a bronze medal at provincials.
Carmine Fiore
Men's Soccer, Humber Hawks
Carmine Fiore (Woodbridge) helped lead the Humber Hawks to back-to-back Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) national titles in men's soccer. The second-year defender anchored a unit that established itself as the province's best defensive team. Carmine's ability to control space, win aerial battles, and organize the back end allowed Humber to dictate matches and consistently shut down opposing attacks.
Carmine received many accolades this past season, including CCAA Championship MVP, West Division Defensive Player of the Year and OCAA First-Team League and Championship All-Star.
Bosco Lai
Badminton, Seneca Sting
In his OCAA debut season, Bosco Lai (North York) distinguished himself as an exceptional member of the Seneca Sting, and has been a valuable addition to the team. Bosco consistently demonstrated a high level of commitment, focus, and work ethic in every drill and training environment. Bosco leads by example through his respect, professionalism and genuine appreciation for both his coaches and teammates.
Named the OCAA Men's Badminton Player of the Year, Bosco won an OCAA gold medal in men's doubles along with a CCAA silver medal on the national stage. Bosco was also named an OCAA First-Team All-Star and CCAA All-Canadian.
