CONSOLATION SEMI-FINAL NO. 2 - ST. CLAIR 3, CAMBRIAN 1

This was a tough match-up for Cambrian having to face the No. 10 nationally-ranked St. Clair Saints.

Cambrian took advantage as the underdog and with the help of the crowd, managed to pull off a 26-24 win in the first set.

This seemed to wake a sleeping giant as St. Clair came alive and took the next two sets 25-14 and 25-17.

There was a glimmer of hope in the fourth set as Cambrian was trying to mount a comeback, looking to extend their time on the court as hosts and perhaps a spot in the consolation final, but alas the Saints proved to be too strong and stayed the attack with a 25-22 win.

Cambrian is eliminated from provincials and St. Clair moves on to face Mohawk College in the consolation final at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
