HAMILTON, Ont. - The Mohawk women's volleyball team swept Collège Boréal of Sudbury, Ont., 25-12, 25-14, 25-15, in OCAA action in Hamilton, Ont., on Friday.
Alexandria Pulham had six kills, one service ace and one stuff block for the Mountaineers. Yvonne Mann collected five kills, one ace and 17 assists. Alessandra Assaf had 11 digs.
Marilyn St-Godard led Les Vipères with eight kills, while Stephanie Sicard had four. Valerie Boileau had 11 assists and Emilie Goulet had nine digs.
Mohawk upped its record to 4-8 while Boréal dropped to 0-12.
Meanwhile, the men improved their record to 9-3, as they defeated Boréal in straight sets. The scores were 25-14, 25-9, 25-19.
Justin Fliss recorded 10 kills and three stuff blocks for the Mountaineers. Steven Falk had nine kills and Andrew Dube contributed six kills, one service ace and one stuff block. Jesse Walczak had 29 assists.
For Boréal, now 2-10, Kyle Chartrand notched six kills, Patrick Boileau had five kills and Christian Mian added four kills and four blocks.
