NORTH BAY, Ont. - Thursday's Game 2 of the 2016 OCAA Women's Volleyball Championship saw Trent University and Niagara College battle it out on the court.
Facing tough competition, Niagara overtook Trent with a score of 3-1 over four sets with Trent taking the first set (25-17) and Niagara stepping up its game to overtake the next three sets (25-22, 26-24, 25-22).
This places Niagara against Durham College in the OCAA semi-finals on Friday.
Niagara's player of the game was Jasmine Thome with 25 attacks, 11 kills and two stuffed blocks.
Trent's player of the game was Cassie Perau with four digs, four attacks, one kill, three serving aces, one stuffed block and 38 assists.
Trent will be playing in the consolation semi-finals on Friday at 1 p.m. Niagara will be playing in the OCAA semi-finals on Friday at 6 p.m.
