ST. CLAIR 3, SHERIDAN 1

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's volleyball team opened the home portion of their schedule on a positive note with a solid win on Saturday night at the Sportsplex.

The Saints defeated the visiting Sheridan Bruins by a score of 3-1. Game scores for St. Clair were 25-20, 21-25, 25-13 and 25-17. It was a solid team effort all around with the offence and defence scattered throughout the lineup. Sara Yablonsky had a great match with 11 kills in 24 attempts along with a service ace. Helen Wiebe also had a solid game with 12 kills, 11 digs and a stuff block.

With the win St. Clair improved its regular season record to 1-2 while Sheridan fell to 0-2. The Saints are next in action when they travel to Hamilton, Ont., next Saturday to take on the Mohawk Mountaineers.
