SUDBURY, Ont. - Cambrian’s Shawna Metcalf (Azilda) continues to rewrite the record book in this her final season in OCAA women’s volleyball.

(Azilda) continues to rewrite the record book in this her final
season in OCAA women's volleyball.
With her 220th offensive point of the season last Saturday in a
straight sets win at George Brown, Metcalf became the all-time OCAA
career leader in offensive points, surpassing the previous record
of 1,120 set by Humber's Landis Doyle in 2011.
Metcalf currently has 1,151 points with five regular season matches
remaining.
This is not the first time she broke an OCAA record this season.
Metcalf is also the all-time leader in kills with 889 entering
action this weekend.
Metcalf also holds the single season OCAA record with 354 points,
259 kills and 71 aces, all set in the 2009-10 season.
The Cambrian Golden Shield currently have a 12-3 record, good for a
share of second place in the OCAA East region. They are the
defending OCAA silver medalists.
