SENECA JOINS OCAA WOMEN’S SOCCER RANKINGS
TORONTO - The Top 4 remain unchanged this week in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) women’s soccer rankings.

Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) women's soccer rankings.
1. Humber Hawks (Last Week - 1)
(Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Rank - 2)
The Humber Hawks (6-0-0) continued their winning ways with an 11-0
victory over previously No. 5-ranked Redeemer on Wednesday,
followed by a 4-1 win over Mohawk on Friday. Both matches were
played at home.
Ashley Costa netted a hat trick against Redeemer,
and added one for good measure against Mohawk. They were her first
four goals of the season.
Humber visits No. 4 Sheridan on Thursday in its lone match of the
week.
2. Algonquin Thunder (Last Week - 2)
(CCAA Rank - 7)
The Algonquin Thunder (5-0-0) continued their undefeated streak to
begin the regular season with a 3-0 victory over Loyalist on
Friday, followed by an 8-0 win over Centennial on Saturday. Both
matches were at home.
Julie Paul scored a pair against Loyalist, and
scored once against Centennial. Ginny Cass earned
a hat trick against Centennial.
Algonquin travels to No. 5 Seneca this Saturday for its only match
of the week.
3. Fanshawe Falcons (Last Week - 3)
(CCAA Rank - 5)
The Fanshawe Falcons (5-1-0) rebounded from their loss at Humber
by putting together a two-game win streak. Fanshawe defeated No. 4
Sheridan 3-1 on Wednesday, followed by a 6-0 victory over Lambton
on Friday. Both matches were on the road.
Jennifer Begley scored three goals, including a
pair against Lambton. Bailey Maxwell also scored
in both matches.
Fanshawe hosts St. Clair on Wednesday.
4. Sheridan Bruins (Last Week - 4)
(CCAA Rank - 15)
The Sheridan Bruins (4-1-0) rebounded from their 3-1 loss to
Fanshawe by defeating Niagara 3-0 on the road on Friday.
Nina Mennite scored a goal in both matches.
Sheridan has a key home match against No. 1 Humber on Thursday,
followed by a trip to Redeemer on Saturday.
5. Seneca Sting (Last Week - NR)
The Seneca Sting (2-0-1) replaces Redeemer in the rankings this
week with a 1-1 tie against Durham on Wednesday followed by a 3-0
win at St. Lawrence-Kingston on Friday.
Kathleen Crandles scored against Durham, while
Natalie Colangelo, Sarah Donato
and Hilda Chmait scored against St. Lawrence.
Seneca plays three games in five days this week, starting with a
trip to Loyalist on Wednesday. Seneca hosts No. 2 Algonquin on
Saturday and La Cite on Sunday.
