UNDEFEATED TEAMS BATTLE FOR OCAA WOMEN'S RUGBY CROWN
NEPEAN, Ont. - The Algonquin Thunder and Humber Hawks women's rugby teams meet on Saturday to determine who is the best in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) in 2012.

The OCAA gold medal match will take place at Twin Elm Rugby Park in Nepean, Ont.
Humber (7-0-0, 1st West) at Algonquin (7-0-0, 1st East)
Saturday, Nov. 17 - 1 p.m.
Defending champion Humber has not lost a match since women's rugby was introduced as an official OCAA league sport in 2011. In five matches this season, Humber outscored the opposition 275-29. (One of its regular season matches was forfeited to Humber).
Humber is led by regular season scoring champion Lindsey Bradbury (Utopia) who scored six tries and 25 converts. Fellow OCAA all-star Kelsey Bardy (Caledon) tied teammate Lauren Muller (Streetsville) for the team-high in tries with seven each.
The Hawks defeated St. Lawrence-Kingston 50-0 in an OCAA semifinal last Saturday, with Bradbury contributing 20 points on two tries and five converts.
Algonquin is also undefeated, shutting out their opponents six straight times. The Thunder scored an OCAA-high 387 points during the regular season. Algonquin defeated Seneca 29-5 in the other OCAA semifinal.
The Thunder are led by OCAA women's rugby player of the year Danika McDermott (Ottawa). Offensively, Maya Williams (Hamilton) won the East scoring championship scoring 14 tries in six games. Williams was named the OCAA East rookie of the year.
Algonquin and Humber met once in 2011, with the Hawks winning 41-5 in the OCAA semifinals. Algonquin went on to win the OCAA bronze medal.
Seneca (5-3-0, 2nd West) at St. Lawrence-Kingston (3-4-1, 2nd East)
Saturday, Nov. 17 - 1 p.m.
The Seneca Sting and St. Lawrence Vikings clash in the OCAA bronze medal match. With both teams coming off losses in the semifinals, one will have an opportunity to finish the season victorious.
Seneca is led by its OCAA all-stars Carleigh Andonovski (Uxbridge) and Katelyn Carey (Burlington). Both players scored two tries each during the regular season.
Stephanie Doornekamp (Westport) and Mariah Patrick (Napanee) lead the St. Lawrence offensive attack. These OCAA all-stars combined for five tries.
Seneca won two matches against St. Lawrence in 2010, when women's rugby was a trial sport in OCAA. The Vikings lost last year's OCAA bronze medal match to Algonquin 6-5.
