CONESTOGA 35, ST. LAWRENCE 22 (FINAL)
The St. Lawrence College Vikings women's rugby team will also play for bronze this weekend, after losing its Ontario Colleges Athletic Association semifinal game to Conestoga College, 35-22, at Queen's West Campus on Sunday, Nov. 6.
The teams entered the half tied 15-15, with Corisa Cluett scoring all three tries for St. Lawrence. Dana Darlington scored a try early in the second half, which Brittany Price converted, to give St. Lawrence a 22-15 lead.
But Conestoga took over from there, scoring three unanswered tries late in the second half.
The loss spoiled the Vikings' undefeated regular season, but they have a chance to end the season on a high note, as they'll play East Division rival Algonquin in a bronze-medal game in Kingston. The game is planned for this weekend, but the exact time has not yet been announced.
