HUMBER 49, MOHAWK 7 (FINAL)
The defending champion Humber Hawks scored 39 unanswered points in the second half to defeat the Mohawk Mountaineers 49-7 in OCAA women's rugby at Mohawk Sports Park Saturday (Oct. 15).
On a miserable day, with cold and very windy conditions, the Mountaineers were down only 10-7 at half time against a team which beat them 75-0 in their first meeting of the season. Raquel Rose got the Mohawk try, which was converted by Danika Faucon.
However there was no stopping the Hawks in the second half.
Lindsay Bradbury and Kadina McKenzie each had two tries. Brooklyn Craig and Alicia Mitton both had a try and convert. Other Hawks' tries were recorded by Laura Miller, Melissa Simmons and Teala Gordon.
