HAMILTON, Ont. - The Mohawk women's basketball team had little trouble in dispatching Sheridan 73-45. The Mountaineers did most of their damage in the first half, as they led 46-21 at the break.
Sam Pocrnic and Jakayla Douse matched 14 point efforts. Jasmine Kucic had 12 points and 16 rebounds, 10 of them on the offensive boards.
Jennifer Saltarelli had 14 points for the Bruins. Liana Rose Villegas added 11.
With the victory, Mohawk improved to 11-4, while Sheridan sank to 2-12.
