KINGSTON, Ont. - It was a decisive 73-30 victory for the Vikings women's basketball team on Saturday, Nov. 8, when they hosted the Seneca College Sting.
SLC was able to keep the Sting to single-digit scoring in all four quarters, in large part to forcing 34 Seneca turnovers, and stealing the ball on 21 occasions during the game.
"It was another great team win for us on Saturday," said SLC head coach Remy Simpson. "Our rookies did a great job of moving the ball around, ensuring that we got a clean look on our offensive opportunities."
Lacey Knox finished with a team-high 11 points and five steals, with Abbey Heron recording 10 points. Jackie Rodgerson and Alexis Lough both led SLC with seven rebounds each.
With the victory, SLC improves their record to a perfect 4-0 to start the 2014-15 season.
The Vikings will be looking to make it five consecutive wins this Wednesday, Nov. 12, when they host the Loyalist College Lancers during the Knights of Columbus Night, where a free community BBQ will take place prior to both women's and men's games.
