ST. LAWRENCE (K) 62, ST. CLAIR 56
TORONTO - The second bronze semi-final game at the belairdirect OCAA Women's Basketball Championship was between St. Clair Saints and St. Lawrence Vikings. Both teams played hard to obtain a spot in the OCAA bronze medal game against the Algonquin Thunder.
In the first quarter, both teams took turns in possession with St. Lawrence taking the first quarter by one point, 13-12.
St. Clair went on a 4-0 run to start the second quarter and was up by as much as five points. But St. Lawrence came back strong taking a 28-22 lead at halftime.
St. Clair did its best to catch up, but it was not enough. St. Lawrence won 62-56 advancing to the bronze medal game.
St. Lawrence's high scorer and player of the game was Jackie Rodgerson (Kingston, Ont.) who scored 19 points, seven of which were in the first half.
St. Clair's high scorer and player of the game was Meighen Boyd (Tecumseh, Ont.) who scored 18 points with six rebounds. Teammate Shannon Kennedy (Windsor, Ont.) scored nine points in the first quarter and 17 points overall, with 10 rebounds.
