SARNIA, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's basketball team moved their record to 6-4 in the OCAA's west region with a 71-67 win over Lambton College in Sarnia, Ont., on Friday night.
The Saints overcame Lambton's 35-21 halftime lead making up the deficit in the third quarter alone. St. Clair then put up their best point total in the final frame with 26 points on route to the win.
St. Clair's Shannon Kennedy (Windsor, Ont./St. Joseph) led her team with 21 points and added 10 rebounds recording a double-double. Reserve guard Veronica Uras (Windsor, Ont./Vincent Massey) reached double figures also with 11 points while post Nicole Tamm (Windsor, Ont./Holy Names) scored 10 points to go with six rebounds. Point guard Meighen Boyd (Tecumseh, Ont./St. Anne) filled the stat sheet scoring nine points to go with eight rebounds and six assists.
Lambton's Riley Williams (Sarnia, Ont.) led all scorers with 22 points in a losing cause.
