St. Clair (2-1) defeated Lambton (1-2) by a score of 60-50.
St. Clair maintained a slight advantage throughout the first half but Lambton scored the opening basket of the second half to take the lead briefly at 30-29. The Saints responded a 17-4 run in the decisive third quarter and never looked back.
Eleven players hit the score sheet for St. Clair with Kendyl Rizea (Windsor) leading the way with a game-high 18 points adding eight rebounds. First year point guard Rachel Duic (Belle River) also reached double figures for the Saints with 12 points adding eight assists.
Melanie Bouchard had 14 points for Lambton in the loss.
The Saints basketball teams travel to Ancaster to face Redeemer on Saturday, Nov. 10 with the women at 2 p.m. and men at 4 p.m.
