DURHAM 3, FLEMING 0
PETERBOROUGH, Ont. – The Durham College men's volleyball team extended their winning streak to 10 games with a 3-0 sweep over the Fleming Knights on Thursday night.
In all three sets, Durham was able to edge out the Knights as they won by sets scores of 25-18, 25-22 and 25-19.
With the win, Durham sweeps the season series over Fleming as they defeated the Knights by the same score in November on home court. Set scores were similar in that match as Fleming reached 22, 19 and 22 points over the three set loss.
Thursday's win was a total team effort with multiple players recording important kills for the Lords throughout the match.
With 10 straight wins, Durham remains tied for top spot in the OCAA East region with the Algonquin Thunder with an 11-1 record. Durham's 10-game winning streak started with a 3-0 victory over the Thunder on Nov. 8, which was Algonquin's only loss of the year.
Durham's lone loss came against the George Brown Huskies (8-3), who they will host on Thursday, January 23 at the CRWC. The Lords will be looking to avenge that early season loss with first serve scheduled for 8 p.m. following the women's game.
