The St. Clair College men's and women's volleyball teams opened their OCAA home schedule on Friday night against the top ranked Nipissing Lakers on a tough note.
In the men's match, the Saints fell to the Lakers by a score of 3-0. Game scores were 25-10, 25-13 and 25-12. Josh Lynch had a strong game with 4 kills 2 stuff blocks and 1 service ace. Michael Vandersleen chipped in with 5 kills, 1 ace and 3 digs.
St. Clair is now 0-2 on the season while Nipissing improved to 3-0. The Nipissing men are ranked 1st in Ontario and 4th in Canada.
The Saints are next in action when they host the Canadore Panthers on Sunday afternoon. The women play at 1 p.m. and the men at 3 p.m.
