ST. CLAIR 0, FANSHAWE 0
LONDON, Ont. - The Fanshawe Falcons hosted the St. Clair Saints in their first OCAA regular season game of the season. Final score, 0-0.
The first half possession was controlled by Fanshawe but there were limited opportunities with the strong defence of St. Clair. The Saints had one great opportunity in the first half but two great saves by Falcon goalie Ben Goes kept the game scoreless for the first 45 minutes.
In the second half, the tight game started to lead to some aggressive play. Both teams started to take some chances, which really opened up the field. There were lots of opportunities to score but none greater then a Fanshawe cross to the head of forward Milos Janikic with 10 minutes to go, which just narrowly missed the back of the net.
The Falcons next match takes place on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. against the Redeemer Royals from Ancaster. The game will take place on the Fanshawe Soccer Field.

LONDON, Ont. - The St. Clair College varsity men's soccer team opened their OCAA regular season schedule on Tuesday night when they travelled to London to take on the Fanshawe Falcons.
In a tough fought match, the Saints came away with a well earned 0-0 draw on the road. Justin Danelon (Holy Names) had a solid game in net in picking up the shutout. Rookie defender Franco Pompa (FJ Brennan) was the top player for St. Clair in helping keep the Falcon offence of the score sheet.
St. Clair will begin their OCAA regular season home schedule when they host the highly-ranked Sheridan Bruins this Saturday at 4 p.m. at the United Communities Credit Union Complex in Amherstburg. The Saints lost to the Bruins last year in the OCAA bronze medal match by a score of 4-2.
