GEORGIAN 34, MOHAWK 10
HAMILTON, Ont. - The Georgian Grizzlies trailed early, but came back to defeat the Mohawk Mountaineers 34-10 in a hard hitting OCAA rugby game Sunday at Mohawk Sports Park.
The Mountaineers got off to a quick start against the unbeaten Grizzlies, leading 10-0 in the first 20 minutes.
However, Georgian got a penalty try, followed by a regular try and led 12-10 at half time.
The Grizzlies had a strong second half and wouldn't be denied, as they improved to 5-0. Henry Do had two tries as Georgian had several long runs down the sidelines. Edwin Sarfo made two conversions.
The Mountaineers, who slipped to 2-3, with their third consecutive defeat, got their lone try from Benjamin Logtenberg. That was converted by Stephen Lewis, who also kicked a penalty.
