ETOBICOKE, Ont. - The Georgian Grizzlies men's rugby team played their final regular season game on Wednesday afternoon in Toronto against the first place Humber Hawks.
With seeding in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) West region standings all but decided the game had little impact on either team's final ranking as the Grizzlies would finish in second place.
The Hawks used their home field advantage at the Humber College Valley Fields to defeat the Grizzlies 74-0. James Mitchell led the scoring for the Hawks with 25 points (three tries, four converts).
With their second place finish the Grizzlies will play host to an OCAA playoff game on a yet to be determined date and time the weekend of November 2-3.
Georgian will host the third-place finisher in the East region standings which will be decided when all the OCAA regular season matches have concluded by this Sunday.
