HUMBER 103, MOHAWK 0
HAMILTON, Ont. - In 2009 the Mohawk men's rugby team defeated Humber for the OCAA title. Since then, the Hawks have ruled the roost.
The three time defending champions blasted the Mountaineers 103-0 Wednesday (Oct. 2) for their third straight win. The Mountaineers fell to 0-3.
And what a day it was, at Mohawk Sports Park, for Humber's 'outside' and kicker Johnny Sheridan. The first year Hawk from Bolton had two tries and 14 conversions for 38 points.
After the first conversion was missed, Sheridan was perfect the rest of the way. His 14 converts eclipsed the previous OCAA record of 12 converts in a single game set by the all-time OCAA scoring leader Phil Boone of Humber, Oct. 4, 2012.
