WELLAND, Ont. - Lamar Barr had 31 points and nine rebounds, but his Mohawk men's basketball team started the second half of their season with a 128-109 loss at Niagara.
Mat Elcock scored 23 points for the Mountaineers. Kareem Collins had 18 points, nine rebounds and six assists and Jordan Martin produced a 17-point night.
With the defeat, Mohawk's record fell to 4-6, while Niagara improved to 7-1. The Knights have reeled off seven straight wins after losing their season opener at Sheridan.
