BARRIE, Ont. - The Georgian Grizzlies men's basketball team used a balanced effort to defeat the Canadore Panthers 83-64 on Sunday afternoon at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
The Grizzlies had double digit point totals from four different players on way to their second largest margin of victory this season.
Tequilan Zwarych (Whitby, Ont.) had another big game for the Grizzlies scoring 26 points and adding 12 rebounds for his 12th double-double on the season.
Justin Mitchell (Newmarket, Ont.) had his fourth straight game in double digits with 12 points while Dylan McKenzie (Bracebridge, Ont.) and Jonathan Edwards (Mississauga, Ont.) each had 11 points on the afternoon.
The Grizzlies now have 10 wins on the season, which matches last year's total with still seven contests remaining.
Georgian will head to Ottawa next weekend to face the Algonquin and La Cité in another two big games for the team. The Grizzlies will play their next home game on Friday, Jan. 30 when they host the Durham Lords which could be a match for first place in the east division standings.
