NORTH BAY, Ont. - The Georgian Grizzlies men's basketball team continued their solid start to the season on Saturday when they took on the Canadore Panthers in North Bay, Ont.
Georgian used a good team effort to earn their second straight victory, improving their record to 2-1 on the year. The Grizzlies had double-digit point efforts from four different players on route to an 83-70 win.
Ivan Ivic (Barrie, Ont.) had a team-high 17 points, Mark Brown (Toronto) and Jon Edwards (Mississauga, Ont.) each had 16 points while Tequilan Zwarych (Whitby, Ont.) had his second double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The Grizzlies will play their home opener this Wednesday, Nov. 5 when they host the Centennial Colts (2-0) at 8 p.m. Georgian's women's team will play the Colts prior to that at 6 p.m. at the Georgian Athletic Centre. The Grizzlies women's team will be looking for their first win of the young season.
