LOYALIST 67, DURHAM 60
BELLEVILLE, Ont. - The Durham College men's basketball team lost their fourth straight conference game on Tuesday night as the Loyalist Lancers pulled off a 67-60 victory at the Lancerdome.
Trailing by two points in the fourth quarter, the Lancers would manage to shut down the Lords' offence down the stretch as they went out in front and hung on for the seven-point victory.
Despite the loss, Ajahmo Clarke (Ajax, Ont.) had a huge night for the Lords as he scored 25 points and added 17 rebounds. This marked Clarke's first double-double of the season. Clarke is averaging 23.3 points per game which is third in OCAA East region scoring.
Patrick Kalala led the Lancers offence with a 19 point performance in the win.
Durham is 0-4 to start the season while Loyalist improves to 2-1. The teams have played two close games against one another early in the season as the Lords defeated Loyalist by two points in the David Stewart Tip-Off tournament.
The Lords will be back on the road on Saturday as they head to North Bay to take on the Canadore Panthers. Canadore is 2-2 this season but perfect on home court.
