BEVAN, BELL ENTER FINAL ROUND AT WORLD UNIVERSITY GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
Despite inclement weather on Thursday at the 14th World University Golf Championship at Ypsilon Golf Resort in Liberec, Czech Republic, all 11 members of the Team Canada contingent managed to complete their respective third rounds.

On the men's side, Chris Hemmerich (Kitchener, Ont. / University of Guelph) is the top Canadian heading into final round action on Friday after posting a third round score of 5-under 67. Hemmerich, who sits T10 at 7-under 209, trails leader Philip Eriksson of Sweden by nine strokes.
Simon Mcinnis (Toronto, Ont. / University of Waterloo) is T19 at 4-under 212, while Charles Côté (Thetford Mines, Que. / Université Laval), who was the top Canadian through two rounds of play, is T24 at 3-under 213.
Christopher Bevan (Toronto, Ont. / Humber College), Gajan Sivabalasingham (Ballantrae, Ont. / University of Waterloo) and Benjamin Bell (Ottawa, Ont. / Humber College) are 24, 25 and 33 shots off the lead respectively.
On the women's side, Megan Woodland (Victoria, B.C. / University of Victoria) continues to lead all Canadian competitors after posting a round of 1-under 71 on Thursday to sit at 3-over 219 for the championship. With six flights of female competitors still to take to the course to play their third rounds (due to storms in the area that caused a suspension of play), Woodland is 15 shots back of leader Any Anderson of the United States.
Devon Rizzo (Brantford, Ont. / University of Waterloo) and Kylie Barros (Edmonton, Alta. / University of British Columbia) both carded third round scores of 1-over 73 and are 19 and 22 shots off the lead respectively. Alyssa Herkel (Port Alberni, B.C. / University of Victoria) and Brynn Tomie (Bedford, N.S. / University of Victoria) round out the Team Canada Women's Squad scoring, 29 and 57 strokes back of Anderson.
In the men's team competition, Team Canada is T7 alongside the United States, 29 shots back of the leaders from Spain.
The women's team competition yielded incomplete results on Thursday, however, as six flights of competitors had yet to complete the third round.
Play will resume on Friday morning at 7:00 a.m. CEST (1:00 a.m. EST).
