In Game 2, Seager's dominance continued with three more hits and two more RBIs, including a seventh inning walk-off game-winning hit with the bases loaded, lifting the Falcons to an 8-7 triumph. Monica Sousa

As a first-year student athlete in a first-time OCAA program, Monica Sousa started the season off strong for the Lakehead Orillia Thunderwolves. In Lakehead's first-ever OCAA regular season match at Cambrian on Sept. 5, the striker scored the lone goal as the Thunderwolves edged the Shield for a first-ever victory. Two days later, Sousa followed this effort with a two-goal performance to lead the Thunderwolves to a comeback tie against the Loyalist Lancers on home turf. Sousa is among the league leaders with three goals to begin the campaign.
Joshua Vivero
School: Cambrian
Program: Emergency Services Communication
Year of Eligibility: 3
Sport: Soccer
Hometown: Toronto, Ont.
Joshua Vivero had an excellent birthday on Sept. 5, netting three goals while assisting on another in a 7-1 victory for the Cambrian Shield over the Lakehead Orillia Thunderwolves. The third-year striker opened the scoring at the five-minute mark, then after the Thunderwolves recorded the equalizer, scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal in the 21st minute. Vivero added one more to end the scoring in the second half, no doubt kicking off a post-match celebration. Vivero scored seven goals last season, and is on pace to surpass this mark.
