For the first time, the OCAA season will begin prior to Labour Day. A single-division format will continue for 2026, as teams play a triple round robin format consisting of one doubleheader and one single game against each club totalling 18 games each.
The 2026 season begins where it left off last October, with the defending OCAA champion Fanshawe Falcons hosting the St. Clair Saints on Sept. 2 in a rematch of the 2025 gold medal game. St. Clair has a busy schedule to start, visiting the Durham Lords in a doubleheader three days later. That same day, the Humber Hawks host the Sault Cougars in the first of three games spanning over two days.
The Sheridan Bruins begin their season at home on Sept. 8, hosting Durham in a doubleheader. A few hundred kilometres away, the Lambton Lions open their season in a twin-bill at St. Clair.
A total of 63 games are planned across the province over a span of 39 days. As inclement weather can more often than not interrupt the OCAA schedule, Oct. 13-14 has been designated as a period to make up potential rainouts.
The OCAA has adopted a new post-season format for 2026, with the top four teams from the regular season standings advancing. Two best-of-three semifinal series will take place Oct. 16-17 as No. 1 plays No. 4 and No. 2 takes on No. 3. The top seeds in each series will host all games.
The following weekend Oct. 23-24, a pair of best-of-three series will decide the medals, with the winning semifinal teams playing for gold, while the losing teams battling for bronze. Once again, the top seeds in each series will host all games.
All OCAA schedules for the 2026-27 season, including dates, times and locations, are subject to change.
