HUMBER RETURNS TO OCAA MEN'S SOCCER GOLD MEDAL MATCH

VAUGHAN, Ont. - Five different players scored to lift the Humber Hawks past Conestoga 5-0 in an Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) men's soccer semi-final match on Friday.

The win sends defending OCAA champion Humber back to the gold medal game.

Humber built a 2-0 lead in the first 45 minutes, then added three more in the second half to put an exclamation mark on the win.

Scoring for the Hawks were Stavros Badunas, Roberto Galle, Matthew Rios, Nick Cisternino and Carlos Rojas.

Badunas was named player of the game for Humber. Daniel Leon was named player of the game for Conestoga.

Humber meets Sheridan in a rematch of last season's OCAA gold medal game. Humber and Sheridan had identical 7-0-1 records during the regular season after battling each other to a scoreless draw on Oct. 12. Humber rallied to edge Sheridan 2-1 in last year's championship final.

Conestoga faces St. Clair in the bronze medal match. Conestoga defeated St. Clair 2-1 on Oct. 13.

All games will take place at The Soccer Centre in Vaughan, Ont. The men's gold medal match will be webcast live on Sportslive.ca.
