The St. Lawrence College Vikings men's basketball team won its first regular-season game of the year on Saturday, Nov. 5, 59-53, over the Georgian Grizzlies.
The win came a day after they lost their season opener 51-45 to the George Brown Huskies.
Claudio Marques, of Ottawa, led the Vikings with 19 points in the Georgian games, impressive numbers considering he did not start. Terence Thomas, of Ottawa, was the second highest scorer, with 17 points.
In the George Brown game, Jermain Edwards, of Kingston, was the leading scorer with 13 points, while Jahmal Edwards, of Kingston, had 10 points.
The men's basketball team's next games are this weekend in Ottawa. The Vikings visit Algonquin College on Friday, Nov. 12 and visit La Cite the next day.
