Lee was named MVP of the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association championship as host Durham won its first-ever national title. Lee opened the scoring in a 3-2 victory over VIU in the gold medal match. The first-year striker earlier scored an insurance goal in a 2-0 semifinal victory over Red Deer, after ringing one off the post earlier in the match. The OCAA East Division Rookie of the Year and OCAA First-Team All-Star helped celebrate Durham's first national medal since hosting the event in 1999, taking bronze that year. OCAA programs have won seven of the last eight national titles.
