MOHAWK ANNOUNCES WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL RECRUITS
HAMILTON, Ont. - Mohawk women's volleyball coach Andrew Nicholson has announced new recruits for the 2013-14 Mountaineers.
HAMILTON, Ont. - Mohawk women's volleyball coach Andrew Nicholson has announced new recruits for the 2013-14 Mountaineers.
Five-foot-five setter Corinne McGrath, from
Jacob Hespeler Secondary School and the Mountain Athletic Club, was
a junior and senior volleyball MVP and a first-team all-star for
the Kitchener-Waterloo area. She captured a Cambridge Sports Hall
of Fame Award.
Kaylee Duncan is a 6-foot-0 middle from Huron Heights Secondary
School in Newmarket and the Aurora Storm, a very successful club
program. She is regarded as a highly skilled player who will give
the Mountaineers' attack another dangerous option.
Five-foot-three libero Mackenzie Pulham, a
product of Pauline Johnson CVI and the Brantford Tornadoes, was her
club team's Heart and Hustle and Most Consistent
Serve awards winner in 2012. She's not only a talented
volleyball player, but also a provincial level gymnast.
Six-foot-one middle/right side Jessica Burdett
comes to the Mountaineers from Sir Allan MacNab S.S. She was a
Mohawk Volleyball Tournament All-Star in 2012 and a former MacNab
Junior Athlete of the Year. She also played hockey, but her passion
is volleyball and she is very athletic and quick.
