TORONTO - The Mohawk men's basketball team slipped to 4-5 at the holiday break, losing 95-77 at Humber on Dec. 7. The Hawks improved to 7-2.
Kareem Collins led the Mountaineers with 22 points. Jordan Martin scored 14 points and Mahmoud Hassan added 11.
"We played a solid first half," said Mohawk head coach Brian Jonker. "Humber came out in the second half, made shots and gapped us."
Jonker said Mohawk has some good young players but have lots to continue to work on.
"We are going to have to continue to improve in order to hold our playoff position. This is a good time for a break for us. The guys will have a couple of weeks off for exams and then we will get back at it," said the coach.
