KALKANIS, SMITH TOP OCAA GOLFERS AT CANADIAN UNIVERSITY/COLLEGE CHAMPIONSHIP

Defending OCAA and Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) champion Colton Kalkanis of Georgian College and St. Lawrence College's Brennan Smith tied for sixth place, four-over for the 72 hole tournament. They finished eight shots behind men's individual champion Ugo Coussaud of Laval University.
Joining Kalkanis and Smith in the Top 10 was Alex Dumais of Humber College who finished at five-over. Humber was the top CCAA men's team, placing fourth overall.
Other notable OCAA golfers were Humber's Nicolas Fortin and Cole Kent of Niagara College, finishing at plus-eight and plus-nine, respectively.
After Thursday's third round, the field was reduced to the top 10 men's teams, as well as any teams and individuals within 15 strokes of the lead. As a result, Humber teammates Ben McFaul and Ben Bell made the 54-hole cut, completing their tournaments at plus-17 and plus-18 respectively. Humber's Scott Benzoni finished at plus-38.
Other OCAA student-athletes taking part in the tournament were Clayton Connor, Nolan Knill, James Skrypec and Jonah Tremback of Georgian; and Walker Arnott, Chad Currie and Lukas Jakobs of Niagara.
